   Fiber Information:

As luck would have it, shorter fibers make great felt, while longer fibers make great yarn.  This means we get to use the fleeces not long enough to make our Nash Island Yarn to make beautiful felting fibers.  We wash, hand-dye and then open the fibers, so they're bloomed out and ready for you to felt with.

Colorway Information:

We're always inspired by the colors found in the rugged nature of Nash Island and Downeast Maine.

Our Rocky Coast & Tidal Pool collections will be available for a limited time.  We will be debuting a new series of colors in Spring 2010, and continue to bring you new colorways each year. 

Dyeing Information:

Each bit of felting fiber is hand dyed in small batches using our secret family recipe. 

Our special dyeing technique creates subtle variations in color in the wool.  Light & dark highlights of single hues are carefully blended to create beautiful shading in even the simplest felt projects. 

Our lobster pot kettle-dyeing allows us to dye up to 1 pound of wool at a time.
