Welcome to Starcroft Fiber Mill

Located in the rolling hills of coastal Maine on a rejuvenated hundred acre farmstead, Starcroft Fiber Mill is a small family owned and operated spinning mill. 

A passion for fibers, an obsession with hand-spinning and knitting, and a desire to keep ancient handcraft traditions alive are the creative forces that power Starcroft.

With a strong environmental consciousness, we are committed to supporting local farmers by purchasing all our raw fibers from Maine growers.  We also buy waste fibers from larger Maine mills and re-process them into beautiful roving and yarns.  

Starcroft, in partnership with Nash Island Wool is excited to introduce this wonderful Maine Island fiber to the spinning & knitting world.  To learn about the history of the Island sheep and the products we offer with this beautiful fiber see our Nash Island pages. 

A percentage of the sales of our Nash Island products is donated to Friends of Nash Island Lighthouse, a group dedicated to the preservation of the lighthouse.
