Fiber Information:
During shearing we carefully select fleeces for our Nash Island Light Yarn. The Coopworth-Romney breeding in the flock provides open & wavy locks with excellent fiber strength, while the Corriadale breeding has given the wool finer crimp and more elasticity. The resulting yarn has the perfect blend of softness, bouce and luster - ideal for a warm, wooly hat.
Colorway Information:
We're always inspired by the colors found in the rugged nature of Nash Island and Downeast Maine. Hat kits are offered in 4 of our favorite colors: Clear Skies, Mussel Shell, Acorn, and Osier.
Dyeing Information:
Our special dyeing technique creates subtle variations in color in each skein. Light & dark highlights of single hues create beautiful shading in even the simplest knitting.
