Knitting Information:

The Nash Island Scarf is a very easy to knit lace pattern, perfect for a first lace project or a luxury knitting gift. 

With only four repeat rows to remember, you can knit the beautiful lace while you daydream.   

We blend the finest Nash Island Lambs Wool with a touch of Starcroft Angora to make our laceweight yarn luxuriosly soft with just a whisper of a halo.

Like all lace knitting, the delicate beauty of the pattern is revealed after you block your finished scarf.

   Fiber Information: 

We save out the Lamb fleeces at shearing each year to create our special Laceweight Yarn.  These fleeces are incredibly soft and when mixed with a bit of our own homegrown Angora, the resulting yarn is simply bliss to knit with.

We've gotten such kind feedback about our Laceweight Yarn that we are planning on offering it in skeins this year.  Currently it is only available in our scarf kits.

Colorway Information:

We're always inspired by the colors found in the rugged nature of Nash Island and Downeast Maine. 

Our Tidal Pool collection will be available for a limited time.  We will be debuting a new series of colors & kits in Spring 2010, and continue to bring you new products each year. 

Dyeing Information: 

Each skein is hand dyed in small batches using our secret family recipe. 

Our special dyeing technique creates subtle variations in color in each skein.  Light & dark highlights of single hues are carefully blended to create beautiful shading in even the simplest knitting.
