Superstar Superwash

100% Merino Lambswool that is machine-wash and dry-able.  Superstar
comes in a range of earthy colors including; pearl, teal, black raspberry,
indigo, spruce, nutmeg, tumbleweed and slate.  Skeins are 185 yards,
100 grams/3.75 oz and knit up 5 stitches per inch on size 7 needles.

Starcroft purchases scrap fiber from larger mills in Maine to reprocess
and use in our Superstar line, making it a truly unique and recycled yarn!



Nash Island Sweater Yarn

A luxurious yarn in island-inspired colorways.  Starcroft Fiber Mill takes
the softest of the Nash Island fleeces and gently washes them in
biodegradable soaps.  The cleaned fibers are then carded and
"cottage-spun" on our Mini-Mill machines.  This type of spinning process
creates soft luxurious yarns that echo the texture and nuances of
handspun yarn.  After spinning, the yarn is hand-dyed in colors inspired
by the beauty of nature found on the islands of Downeast Maine.

Starcroft believes in supporting the livelihood of local farmers and 100%
of Nash Island yarn is from Nash Island sheep.
